5 Miles - 40:15 - 8:03 Avg Pace - 56F - 180

It's been almost two weeks since I've ran outside and I could definitely feel it. I had a side stitch the last 3 miles, my hips were sore, my knees were sore, I felt like I just ran a marathon. 5 miles and hit a heart rate of 180....kind of sad. What I had hoped for this Sunday was a 1:43 half may be more like 1:47. Guess we'll see. I plan on doing an easy 3 on Saturday.

3.13 Miles - 26:12 - 8:23 Avg Pace - Gym - 184

Today was my first run since the Marathon a little over a week ago. I was able to get in 25 minutes on the bike before hand and I'm sure glad I did. First off, I'm glad I haven't ran until now because my body just didn't want to do anything close to resembling running. My heart rate was high and I felt just plain sore. Hopefully a good stretch and massage will work on the kinks. Tomorrow I plan on running outside for 5 if the weather holds up. It's been raining the last couple days. Last week I was able to pull a bike day and a swim day.

This Sunday is the inaugural Rock N Roll Dallas Half Marathon. So I'm trying to take it easy so I can hopefully get a descent time. I'm not expecting a PR since I haven't been speed training but anywhere below a 1:45 will make me happy.
